Red Dead Online - Legendary Bucks

Rockstar Games is keeping alive the tradition of bringing two new Legendary Animals to Red Dead Online per week. Last week saw two new Legendary Coyotes, and this week’s update focuses on bucks.

Today, the Legendary Mud Runner Buck and Legendary Snow Buck have been added to Red Dead Online.

The Legendary Mud Runner Buck can be found in the southern part of the Heartlands, near Flat Iron Lake. The Legendary Snow Buck is said to be hanging around near Aurora Basin. Both animals seem to come out during the day when it’s dry out.

On top of this, a new Free Roam Event has been added that tasks players with competitively photographing wildlife. Like other Free Roam Events, you’ll be rewarded with XP, RDO$, and Gold for participating.

Anyone who completes any Free Roam Event this week (including the new one) will get an additional 100 RDO$ and 5,000 bonus XP.

Those pursuing the Naturalist role will be rewarded as well. Here are the details:

  • Buy into the Naturalist role to earn a free role accessory, outfit, or emote.
  • Sedate and sample any animal to receive the exclusive Gila Monster flag for your camp.
  • Complete a Sighting mission to get a Farnholme Double Bandolier.
  • Pitch a wilderness camp (which you can earn as part of the Naturalist role) to earn a treasure map.

If those look familiar, it’s because they were offered a few weeks ago as limited-time rewards. Now they’re back, but for a limited time once again.

There are some new emotes added to the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. catalog (as well as in-game shops), a Hardcore Featured Series, and some shop discounts. Check out the dirty details in the Dirty Tyler video below.

Plus, as always, the game’s title menu has been updated to celebrate the arrival of its newest critters. So fire up Red Dead Online, snap some photos, and hunt some big ‘ol bucks.
