Mortal Shell

Mortal Shell is an incredible mini-Soulslike that should be on the radar of anyone who’s into Dark Souls (and games in the styling of Dark Souls). I had nothing but good things to say about Mortal Shell after having played it to completion (and even earning the ridiculous and amazing Brigand Life ending). It might be a little on the short side, but it does reward you for playing it slowly, thereby extending the experience.

The game was released on August 18, with a promised physical version forthcoming. Initially, the physical version’s release date was supposed to be October 2, but now, it’s been pushed back to October 23. So if you’ve been holding off on a physical purchase, it seems you’ll be holding off just a little bit longer.

Mortal Shell Physical

Of course, you can always enjoy checking out the game’s amazing lute songs or watching a ridiculous 30-minute speedrun of Mortal Shell in the meantime, though you should be warned that the speedrun does include some massive spoilers.
