Nexomon: Extinction

Nexomon: Extinction is now on Xbox One, but that doesn’t mean the other consoles are getting left behind. In fact, the game updated to version 1.07 on PS4 today.

The update is mostly quality-of-life tweaks, but there are two notable items that have been added, Repel Spray and Challenge Badge. Repel Spray lets you avoid Nexomon encounters in the wild, while Challenge Badge reduces the amount of time you need to wait before a Nexomon tamer will re-challenge you.

Here are the full Nexomon: Extinction 1.07 patch notes:

  • Improved model loading performance when browsing the Database.
  • It is now possible to equip/unequip certain items by pressing the Action button in the inventory menu.
  • Aded “Repel Spray” item in a chest. It is an equippable item that allows you to ignore wild encounters.
  • Added “Challenge Badge” item in a chest. It is an equippable items that causes enemy tamers to rematch you earlier.
  • The Healthy and Workout charms are now equippable.
  • Equippable items have been places near the top of the inventory list.
  • Save slot capacity increased to 4 in anticipation of new game mode(s).
  • Fixed the dialogue for an NPC in Ignitia’s Mining Club with would show <blank> in some cases.
  • Fixed major memory leaks that led to strange glitches and crashes.
  • Several skill balance adjustments.

I’m really curious about the “new game mode(s)” part of this. Does this mean the New Game Plus mode we were promised is getting close, or is it referring to something else? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
