Finding Secret Tapes in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 seems to be my specialty these days. Well, the secret is actually that I played these games like wild back in the early 2000s, and every time I fire up a new stage, the memories come flooding back.
Anyway, the Secret Tape in Philadelphia really isn’t that hard to get; it just requires a pretty long grind. It’s definitely easier if you improve your Rail Balance stat before you attempt this one.
There’s a wire over the fountain, and you really just need to grind that as far as you can until you reach the tape. The approach is maybe a little tricky, but it does help if you ollie up onto the nearby ledge and ride the dirt toward the liberty bell so that you’re lined up with the wire.
