Everafter Falls

Everafter Falls is an upcoming farming life-sim in the vein of Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon. I’ve been watching this one pretty closely, because it looks quite good, and it does some small yet interesting things that I’m pretty excited about (like giving players the option to rearrange their shelves, which is still a rarity in the video-game world for some reason).

Today, Everafter Falls developer SquareHusky has released a story trailer for the game, which shows some of the narrative elements that had only been hinted at before (your character awakens from a Matrix-like slumber after being hit by a car, for example).

As macabre as that previous sentence might sound, the trailer is actually really lighthearted and adorable. While the initial premise sounds more like Graveyard Keeper than Stardew Valley, the tone of the game feels more like Animal Crossing. There’s a lot of charm to this world.

We also get a look at some of the dungeon-crawling and loot-getting elements, both of which I’m pretty excited about. Get ready to chew on some cardboard!

Plus, we get to hear a new music track, which I assume is by composer Tim Carlos, who was recently brought onto the project.

Anyway, I should stop yapping and let you watch the new trailer for yourself. So here’s the adorable new trailer for Everafter Falls.
