Marvel's Spider-Man

I admit it. I’m way behind the curve on this one. I still haven’t finished Marvel’s Spider-Man yet.

Released back in 2018 by Insomniac Studios (famous for Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank, and Resistance), Marvel’s Spider-Man is the most recent in a long list of games to feature the web-slinging, spandex-suited hero. It’s also a really well-made open-world superhero game, and it’s been on my need-to-play list for ages and ages.

But I did start it this year. I promise. I just got sidetracked by so many other great games (like The Survivalists and 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, not to mention my extensive return to Red Dead Redemption 2).

Of course, it’s official now that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming to PS4 in just a month, and I’m definitely going to be playing that. But the titular Miles Morales is a not-insignificant character in Marvel’s Spider-Man (which I haven’t finished yet), so it seems like one should play that game to completion before jumping into the sequel/spinoff, right?

Marvel's Spider-Man

With so many games to play right now (and so many seasons of gaming content to power through), I can’t promise that I will actually finish this one. But I’m going to try, dear reader, boy am I ever going to try.

Update: I did it!
