Last week, news broke of the Adidas Cyberpunk 2077-themed sneaker monstrosities. Well, not one to rest on their laurels, Adidas has partnered with Sony to unveil their Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales-themed sneakers, part of the aptly titled Superstar line.
And really, what more can you say? Unlike the Cyberpunk 2077-themed kicks, these are far from garish nightmares. They are pretty basic in design, and I don’t think they’d be recognized as a crossover sneaker if not for media fanfare (and maybe the little spider icon on the back).
What’s curious to me is that the promotional material specifies that high-top and low-top variants exist in the game, but it appears that only the low-top version will be available to purchase for your actual feet. In my humble opinion, I prefer low-tops anyway, so no loss there. It just strikes me as an odd choice.
