Assassin's Creed Valhalla

If you’ve been exploring the Rygjafylke region (in Norway) in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you might have stumbled upon the Deserted Chalet on an island northwest of Fornburg (between Mannskapsangrep and Haervik Shipyard). There’s a chest inside, but unfortunately, that chest is locked.

So here’s how you open the chest in the Deserted Chalet.

First off, it’s probably obvious that you need a key. When you start searching for the key, you should find a couple notes in the area around the chalet. One of those notes (which you’ll find knived to a shed outside of the chalet) says:

Ornir’s Journal – Thrir

The wolves that took Ymir have come for me. The lice-ridden curs got past my traps and I hear them at the door. I cannot remember when I last ate, but the blood-rage gives me strength, and soon I will drink theirs. I will take many of the beasts down with me and ride to Valhalla on their howls of despair.

Basically, this guy got really upset by the wolves in the area, so he went to their den to kill as many of them as he could before they finally killed him (sort of like Liam Neeson’s character The Grey). This is the guy who had the key, so you’ll have to find his corpse in the wolves’ den.

Here’s where that is on the map:

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

And here’s what the location looks like:

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

The key is on a skeleton in this area. Use Odin’s Sight and you should be able to see the key icon pop up. Now, take the key, bring it to the chalet, and claim your treasure. You’ll be rewarded with a Carbon Ingot for your troubles.

And that’s how you open the chest in the Deserted Chalet in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
