If you scan an amiibo figure in the main menu of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, you’ll be rewarded with some random goodies. The only problem is you’re limited to five amiibo figures per day, and you can’t scan the same amiibo figure twice in one day. In fact, you can’t even scan variations of the same amiibo figure twice in the same day (if you have, say, Bowser and Wedding Bowser, they count as the same amiibo).
However, you can cheat the system. If you’ve ever time traveled in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you probably already know where I’m going with this.
All you have to do is shut down your game and change the system clock on your Nintendo Switch to a different date, and then your scans reset. This means you can scan as many amiibo as you want in one day.
To change your clock, go to System Settings (it’s the gear icon on the main menu of your Switch). Scroll all the way to the bottom of this menu to the Systems option. Here, select Date and Time.
Once you’re here, you’ll need to make sure that Synchronize Clock via Internet is toggled off. Then just change the date to some other date. I started at 11/1/2020 and then scanned my amiibo every day in November to stockpile some goods.
Just make sure that once you scan your amiibo figures, you go into the game and save. I’m actually not sure you need to do this, but I did it just to be safe.
And there you go. You’re no longer bound to the five-amiibo-per-day rule. Get yourself some riches!
