Marvel's Spider-Man

With just a few days left before Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales hits store shelves (and PS5s and PS4s everywhere), I have 100% completed the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man game.

Now, I’m not just talking about getting 100% completion in the main game. I’d accomplished that a while back. I’ve actually now earned 100% of the Trophies in the game. This includes the Platinum Trophy in the base game, but it also includes getting 100% completion in all three DLC packs.

Marvel's Spider-Man

The most impressive Trophy on this list, though, is Power and Responsibility, which requires you to beat the game on Ultimate difficulty. It’s the rarest of all the game’s Trophies, with only a 2.4% completion rate.

There’s actually an easy trick to unlocking this one, though. Once you complete the main game, simply turn up the difficulty to Ultimate (from the main menu), then create a NG+ save. This will allow you to carry over all of your skills, gadgets, and suit powers into Ultimate difficulty, which actually makes it a breeze.

The Ultimate playthrough (skipping most side activities and cutscenes) took me about seven hours in total, and it didn’t even feel that difficult. In fact, Ultimate with a fully loaded-out Spider-Man is easier than Amazing (the game’s default difficulty) with a rookie Web-Slinger. With max gadgets and skills, there’s really not much the game can throw at you that you can’t deal with.

So that’s it. I guess I have some downtime to mindlessly enjoy The Sims 4 while I anxiously await the release of Miles Morales.
