A while back, Insomniac Games teased us with three new suits that would be added to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. While these were initially announced as part of the PS5 version of game, they were also supposed to come to the PS4 version at some point.
Today, the suits have officially arrived. Patch 1.19 adds three new suits to the game:
- Armored Advanced Suit
- Arachnid-Rider Suit
- Amazing Suit
My personal favorite is the Arachnid-Rider suit (which is a nod to the Kamen Rider franchise). This one is another cel-shaded suit, which I’m also a fan of.
The Armored Advanced Suit (shown below) is just kind of alright, and the Amazing Suit (shown at the top of this article) is not quite up to the standards of the word Amazing, in my opinion. Really, the Arachnid-Rider Suit is the cream of this spider-crop.
On top of these new suits, the update gives you the option to transfer game saves from the PS4 version of the game to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Just keep in mind there will be some visual changes between game versions that you might find a little jarring.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is a fantastic game, and we’re glad to see Insomniac still supporting the PS4 version, despite there being a shiny new version on the PS5 and a sort-of-sequel, Miles Morales (which is also fantastic).
