Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

In Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, there’s a Trophy called 100x Combo!!!, which (as the title explicitly states) requires you to “Perform a 100x Combo.”

I jumped into Miles Morales fresh off of an Ultimate difficulty run through the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man game, so I didn’t struggle with this one. However, if it’s been a while since you played the original, you might need a few pointers. Thankfully, I’m here to help.

First off, a “combo” is just how many attacks you’ve landed in a row without taking damage. If you swing and miss an enemy, or take a super brief break between enemies, you won’t kill your combo. If you take damage, however, your combo will restart.

For me, the biggest challenge was simply finding a group of enemies large enough to make this happen. Thankfully, I found one — and it’s a relatively easy one. You’ll want to find the Combat Challenge 2.0, which is in Midtown.

Here that is on a map:

Obviously, you’ll have to have completed Combat Challenge 1.0 first, and that one is located in the northern part of Harlem (not far from the graveyard).

Combat Challenge 2.0 asks you to take down 20 enemies without taking damage (well, you can take two hits — on the third, the challenge will end). Since you’re already tasked with defeating a bunch of enemies in a row without taking damage, this is the perfect place to try for a 100x combo (and yes, you’ll pop the Trophy for getting your combo here, despite the fact that these are hologram enemies and not real ones — this is where I got mine).

Here’s a video of me blazing through this challenge without taking any hits:

A few pointers here: You’ll want to be very careful to watch your Spidey Sense. That’s the exclamatory aura that appears around Miles’s head. When that happens, you’ll need to dodge.

There actually aren’t a ton of ranged enemies in this fight, but there are enough that there will often be two or three out in the field at a time. Use your web shooter (R1) to slow down as many as you can, and try to bring down the ranged enemies before the melee ones whenever possible.

Also, if you use your Air Launcher (hold square to launch an enemy into the air), you can keep the fight up in the air, where the melee enemies can’t hit you. So focus on the ranged enemies and try to juggle them in the air as much as possible, then go for the melee enemies when there are no ranged ones left on the field.

These enemies really aren’t difficult, and if you screw up, you can always restart the challenge by either getting hit three times, or by pressing Options and navigating to the Restart Challenge option.

As long as you follow these guidelines, you should be able to earn the 100x Combo!!! Trophy without any problems, and you might also earn the Ultimate rank on Combat Challenge 2.0 while you’re at it.
