Undead Nightmare was the wildly popular, zombie-filled expansion for the original Red Dead Redemption. With Red Dead Redemption 2 now more than two years old, fans are losing hope that we’ll ever see another chapter in this supernatural Wild West dreamscape.
And that means Evil West was able to mosey on in and completely steal Rockstar’s Undead Nightmare thunder at the Game Awards 2020.
Let’s be honest, we really don’t know that much about Evil West yet. Game Informer did three paragraphs on it, and we’ve got a trailer to look at. But from what I can suss out, this is a Wild West game about a vampire hunter, and it seems to include some other supernatural horrors, like gargoyles and zombies, as well.
And, I mean, we needed this. We really, really did. Since Rockstar is focusing on Red Dead Online instead of any single-player expansions for Red Dead Redemption 2, Evil West is here to fill a hole that’s been gaping wide for years now.
More power to them for that.
