Thanks to The Sims 4: Snowy Escape, I’ve got ski resorts on the brain. I’ve been spending an inordinate amount of time thinking about ski lifts, snowy mountains, and the proper winter gear. That got me thinking about building my own ski resort, which led me to Snowtopia: Ski Resort Tycoon.
As the name implies, Snowtopia is all about building and managing the perfect ski resort. You’ll need to build a mountain, attract skiers, and do your best to satisfy their needs. As your resort grows, more skiers will arrive, and you’ll need to work harder to keep them happy.
While I was drawn to Snowtopia because of The Sims, it actually reminds me of the tycoon games I used to play as a kid, like DinoPark Tycoon, SimTower, and, of course, Ski Resort Tycoon.
The guests at your ski resort can be pretty demanding, which means you’ll always have a good reason to expand and improve your ski resort. Not all skiers want the same things, which means you’ll need to think creatively if you want to make all your guests happy.
Snowtopia is currently scheduled to be released in early 2021. If you want to start building a ski resort now, you can download the Alpha version of the game or check out the demo on Steam.
