The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is a tactical RPG based on the now-cancelled but still-brilliant Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (the series itself was based on Jim Henson’s 1982 film The Dark Crystal).

The game’s reception seemed pretty lukewarm, to be honest, though that was never enough to dissuade me from a purchase. In fact, the only reason I didn’t pick this one up at launch was because I was waiting for a potential Nintendo Switch physical release.

That day has come, my friends. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is officially getting a physical release on both Nintendo Switch and PS4 thanks to the wonderful folks at Limited Run Games. You can pre-order it right now.

In traditional Limited Run fashion, there’s also a collector’s edition, which comes with all sorts of neat stuff (the coolest of which being the collectably adorable Fizzgig plushie).

Here’s a list of what’s in the Limited Collector’s Edition:

  • The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics physical game
  • Outer box
  • Full-color manual
  • Interior art
  • Premium Crystal enamel pin
  • Sticker sheet (with seven stickers)
  • Overworld cloth map
  • Fizzgig plushie
  • Branded lithoprint

I do love that plushie, and I have to admit that I have a weak spot for cloth maps for some reason. This actually doesn’t seem like a bad value for $80.

If you want to pre-order any version of the game, here are all four links:
