The Game Awards are sometimes (though not always) packed with big trailer reveals. In the pre-show events for the Game Awards 2020, there were also some smaller trailers that are worth paying attention to.
Sea of Solitude, for example, got a new trailer. This was a short-but-heartfelt game that released on PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on July 5, 2019. Perhaps due to it landing the day after a major American holiday, Sea of Solitude was overlooked by a lot of people.
Thankfully, we’re being given a chance to make up for that. Sea of Solitude Director’s Cut is coming to Nintendo Switch in March of 2021.
I overlooked this one myself (my band was on tour the day this originally came out), so I’m glad to see it getting a fresh coat of paint. This has vibes of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Last Guardian, which makes me very, very interested. I might have to check this out on PS4 before the expanded and updated version lands on Switch.
Anyway, you can watch the full Game Awards Sea of Solitude trailer below.
