There are already plenty of reasons to be excited about Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town. I’m really impressed by the game’s selection of marriage candidates, and I can’t wait to play around with the museum, photography, and farm-building features.
While those features are already enough to keep me busy, it looks like the game will be receiving new content updates for months down the road. If you purchase the Pioneers of Olive Town season pass, you’ll receive new characters, costumes, story content, and even new areas to explore. Here’s the content roadmap that Marvelous has announced:
April
- New “Animal Attire” costumes for the protagonist.
- New “Animal Attire” costumes for all marriage candidates.
- New Scenario “Olive Town Mystery Files.” In this scenario, you’ll work with Mikey and Cindy to get to the bottom of mysterious occurrences in Olive Town.
May
- New “Windswept Falls” location.
- New residents.
- New marriage candidates: Felicity and Allen from Harvest Moon 3D: A New Beginning.
June
- New “School Uniform” costumes for the protagonist.
- New “School Uniform” costumes for all marriage candidates.
- New “Terracotta Oasis” location.
- New residents.
- New marriage candidates: Iris and Raeger from Story of Seasons (2014).
July
- New “Yukata” costumes for the protagonist.
- New “Yukata” costumes for all marriage candidates.
- New Scenario “The Legendary Sprite Dance.” In this scenario, the sprites want to revive a legendary festival and need your help.
August
- New “Twilight Island” location.
- New residents.
- New marriage candidates: Lisette and Ludus from Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns.
In addition to all the content listed here, you’ll receive several new costumes from Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town as soon as you purchase the expansion pass. These costumes include:
- Pete and Claire’s overalls.
- Yuto and Naomi’s hoodies.
- Henry and Holly’s western attire.
The Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town season pass is priced at $19.99, which seems like a pretty good deal for all this content. If you’re buying the game digitally, you can purchase a bundle that includes both the game and the expansion pass for $69.99. Both Pioneers of Olive Town and the season pass will be available on March 26th, 2021. More details about the upcoming DLC will be announced at a later date.
