Look, Crazy Taxi was a grand ol’ time back when it came out in 1999. And the franchise is pretty much dead at this point (with the last release being a mobile game in 2014). So it was only inevitable that another franchise would attempt to replace it.
Today, Taxi Chaos steps into that role, bringing Crazy Taxi-style hijinks to modern consoles. Yes, Taxi Chaos is now out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch (with a physical release planned for April). I don’t think it could be any more obvious that this is a game that wants to fill the very specific void left by Crazy Taxi.
Of course, you might want to read some reviews before you plunk down your hard-earned cash on this hardline cash grab. The reviews have been, um… not favorable?
Yeah. I think I’ll be spending my day with Hitman 3 (and its brand-new update).
