Assassin's Creed Valhalla

In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, there is a quest called The Lost Drengir of Ragnar Lothbrok, which asks you to “Reconstruct Ragnar’s death.” Unfortunately, the game isn’t clear about what this means. Fortunately, I’ve created a guide to help you out.

First off, if this quest should be triggered once you kill all six of the lost Drengir, but it wasn’t popping for a lot of us. If that’s the case for you, it should have finally appeared in your log after Title Update 1.1.2 (even though it’s not mentioned in the patch notes).

It sends you off to a snake pit to the east of Jorvik. Here’s a map of where to find it (though you probably won’t need it since the game should mark it for you:

Once you’re there, you’ll need to reconstruct Ragnar’s death. In order to do this, you must stand on the wooden platform above the snake pit and trigger Odin’s Sight by tapping R3.

This is throwing a lot of people off because typically you hold R3 to activate Odin’s Sight. If you hold R3 here, however, the quest won’t progress.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll witness a cutscene of Ragnar’s final moments. You’ll then want to climb down into the snake pit and interact with an object at the bottom. That object is Drengiligr, Ragnar’s dagger, which is now yours to keep.

I have to admit that I didn’t figure this out on my own, but via a reddit thread. Much thanks to everyone who made that happen.
