The Sims 4

In celebration of the 21st anniversary of The Sims, The Sims 4 just launched a pretty hefty free update. Because it includes new base-game items made by content creators from the Sims community, people are referring to this as the CC for All Players update. This is custom content, and it’s available on PC and consoles. This is a very exciting time to be playing The Sims 4 on consoles!

The content creators who contributed to this update are HeyHarrie, peachyfaerie, storylegacysims, peacemaker_ic, Luumia, icemunmun, grimcookies, FeralPoodles, and AHarris00Britney. Keep in mind that EA recently hired 21 custom content creators, and this update features content by nine of them. That means more stuff is coming in the future (maybe in free updates, but this content might also come in the form of the upcoming Kits).

Honestly, most of this content seems to be furniture and food, but there have been some new CAS (Create-a-Sim) options added as well. Let’s take a quick look at the new CAS options that have been added to the game with the CC for All Players update.

First up, there’s this amazing cat hat.

This hat was created by FeralPoodles and is available in 15 colorways. It seems like a great thing to wear when the weather is cold, but let’s be honest: We’ll be wearing this one all year round.

There’s also a new feminine outfit (though you can dress up men in it as well) created by AHarris00Britney.

The top can be found in the Blouses category, and it comes in 15 colorways. The bottoms are in the Jeans category and come in 14 colorways (mostly blacks and blues). It is nice to finally see some jeans cuts that don’t feel like they came out back in 2002.

If you want to age up your sim a little bit, there’s a new crow’s feet option.

This was created by Luumia and can be found in the Skin Details tab.

And don’t forget about the new lipstick option!

This can be found in the Makeup section under Lips. It comes in 14 colorways, with hue, opacity, saturation, and brightness options, which means you can create and save your own colorways (even on consoles). This was created by grimcookies.

There’s also a new outfit (top and bottom) for toddlers.

Weirdly, this is currently uncredited in the menu, though if you filter by the new Birthday option, both items do show up. The top is filed under Blouses, and it comes in eight colorways. The pants are filed under Jeans and come in six colorways.
