Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC Release Date is April 29

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an enormous game that just keeps getting bigger. After the Yule Festival, the River Raids update, and the Ostara festival (all of which were free), the first paid DLC arrives in April. Wrath of the Druids lands on all platforms on April 29, 2021.

Wrath of the Druids sends Eivor to Ireland to investigate a mysterious Druid cult called the Children of Danu. You’ll also infiltrate ringed forts (pictured below) and somehow influence trading routes in Dublin.

here’s the flavor text for the expansion, straight from Ubisoft:

Journey to Ireland and unravel the mysteries of an ancient druidic cult. Fight your way through haunted forests and dazzling landscapes while gaining influence among Gaelic kings.

The existence of this DLC is not a surprise, as it was announced way back when Valhalla launched, with a second DLC titled Siege of Paris due out sometime in the summer. However, the release date was vague until Ubisoft spilled the beans this week.

Season Pass owners will get this content as part of the pass. Ubisoft has not made it clear whether or not the expansion will be available for purchase separately (and there’s no pre-order for it yet), but I suspect this is something they’ll offer closer to the April 29 release date.
