Gotham Knights

The Half-Glass Gaming crew skeptically put the Bat-Fam game Gotham Knights on our list of most anticipated video games of 2021. Even then, we expressed some hesitancy, pointing out “there’s been a lot of speculation that it might be delayed into 2022.”

Well, it’s now official, Gotham Knights has been pushed back into 2022. The delay was announced via the official Gotham Knights Twitter account.

Here’s the text from the image that was posted (in case it’s hard to read):

Gotham Knights will now launch worldwide in 2022

We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players. Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months.

While it may seem like bad news to some folks, we mentioned in our anticipated games article that “we’ll take a delay if it means a better product.” And we stand by that, especially after the mess that was Cyberpunk 2077 (which should have been delayed by another year at least).

There is the lingering question now about what happens to the Suicide Squad game. Will Warner Bros. move the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League so they avoid putting out two DC Universe titles in one year? Or will they both release in 2022? We guess we’ll have to wait and see.
