Update: I’ve added the rewards for the September, 2021, and April, 2022, batches of drops. Scroll all the way down to see those.
With the No Man’s Sky Expeditions update comes an increased focus on community activity and events. As a part of that, you can earn in-game rewards for watching No Man’s Sky livestreams on Twitch. Thankfully, claiming these rewards is pretty straightforward. Here’s a quick guide to doing that.
Hello Games created a webpage that will get you started, so the very first step in the process is to visit the Twitch.NoMansSky webpage. Once you’re here, you’ll be asked to sign into your Twitch account. After that, you’ll be asked to sign into the account you play No Man’s Sky on. This can be a PlayStation Network account, an Xbox Live account, or a Steam account.
Once you’ve signed into both, you should be ready to roll. Now all you have to do is watch drop-enabled streams on Twitch. How do you know whether or not a stream is drop-enabled? You can check out the Drops Enabled tag on Twitch.
Your rewards should show up in the Twitch drops inventory page once they’re eligible to be claimed. You can claim these rewards in-game by visiting the Quicksilver shop in the Nexus.
And yes, I was able to confirm that your unlocks are account-wide. This means that you can claim the rewards on all of your characters, not just one.
TL;DR guide to claiming No Man’s Sky Twitch rewards
This is maybe a ton of information to process, so here’s a much simpler bullet-point version:
- Visit the official Twitch.NoMansSky webpage.
- Sign into your Twitch account.
- Sign into your PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam account.
- Look for the Drops Enabled tag on Twitch.
- Watch No Man’s Sky livestreams on the scheduled dates.
- Verify your earned rewards using the Twitch drops inventory page.
- Collect your earned rewards from the Quicksilver shop at the Nexus within No Man’s Sky.
- Rewards are account-wide, so enjoy them on all of your characters!
For streamers
What if you’re a streamer? If you’re streaming No Man’s Sky, make sure you have your “Drops Enabled” option set. To check this, go to your Creator Dashboard, Go to the Viewer Rewards option, then go to Drops. Here, you’ll see a toggle that says “Enable Drops.”

Make sure this is toggled on (as shown in the image above). As long as this isn’t toggled off, the Drops Enabled tag should automatically become active once you start streaming No Man’s Sky, as long as the category (in your Edit Stream Info panel) is set to No Man’s Sky. I’ve noticed that it might take a minute or two for the tag to become active. If you have any doubt as to whether or not your rewards are active, you can ask a channel mod or a viewer to check to see if their drops are working. I was able to bring up my own livestream in a separate browser window to verify the Drops Enabled tag was indeed showing for the stream (and it was).
You might want to have the above information on hand for when your viewers ask about it, so feel free to point them to this page to get all of the information they need.
