Star Wars: Republic Commando

Limited Run Games has been killing it lately. Not only are they bringing us physical editions of No More Heroes 1 and 2 (which I love), they’ve been doing some really nifty classic titles, particularly in the Doom and Star Wars franchises.

Today, Limited Run is adding yet another classic Star Wars title to their inventory of physical games with Star Wars: Republic Commando. The game, set in the Clone Wars era, originally launched in 2005 for Xbox and PC, but was re-released on April 6, 2021, for Nintendo Switch and PS4. Now, Limited Run is bringing us the goods with a physical version for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and even PC.

If you stick with the basic version of the game, you’ll be spending a cool $29.99. However, if you decide to really spice things up, there s a collector’s edition that’s going for $89.99.

This collector’s edition includes:

  • The game
  • Individually numbered certificate of authenticity
  • Commemorative metal coin
  • Thermal Detonator enamel pin
  • Set of premium art cards
  • Reversible 18″ x 24″ poster
  • Official steelbook case

Note that the Premium Edition on PC contains a USB drive that has the game installer on it.

Here the pre-order links for all six editions:

Remember, Limited Run really lives up to its name, so you’re going to want to snatch these up while you can. Once they’re gone, you’ll be left at the mercy of the secondhand market, which can be a bit brutal.

Oh, and you can check out the reveal trailer for the Star Wars: Republic Commando re-release below.
