Biomutant

In Biomutant, there is a Trophy/Achievement called Tar-up, which asks you to “Drown 5 Enemies in Oil during combat.” It’s not super tricky if you know what you’re doing, but there are some things you should know if you’re going to attempt to pop the Trophy (or unlock the Achievement).

So here’s a quick guide to unlocking the Tar-up Trophy in Biomutant.

First off, you need to find a location that has both enemies and tar. Two of your best bets are the Deadzone (at the southwestern edge of the map) and the Kluppy Dunes (in the northernmost portion of the map). However, you need a particular type of enemy. Some enemies rise up out of the oil, and those don’t count (because they won’t drown if they end up back in the oil).

The oily bois pictured above are resistant to oil, so this trick won’t work on them.

Also, the miniboss-sized enemies tend to be too large to make this work. You’re really looking for the bandit-type enemies that are about the same size as your character.

In other words, you’re looking for enemies like this:

Next up, you’ll want to make sure you have the Mucus Bubble ability (it’s listed under Biogenetics, so you might need to farm some Bio Points). Now, all you need to do is activate your Mucus Bubble, then roll over as many enemies as you can. Try to leap into the oil (just rolling there tends to pop the bubble before you get the enemies into the oil) and then get out as fast as you can.

It’s important that you don’t land too far out into the oil, or you’ll drown yourself as you’re trying to get back to shore. Your enemies are worse at moving in the oil than you are, though, so even when they’re right on the edge of the oil pit, they’ll struggle to get out.

In case any of that seems kind of vague, here’s a video of me getting three enemies into the oil at once:

This particular location is near Shop-Shop 8B, just to the southeast of where you fight the Jumbo Puff in the Deadzone.

There’s another option too, if you don’t want to use the Mucus Bubble, but this one requires a Dark Aura of at least 20. You can use Telekenis to fling enemies into oil as well, as shown in the video below.

This one is probably easier, but getting 20 Dark Aura points is a little bit of a grind.

Either way, that’s how you unlock the Tar-up Trophy/Achievement in Biomutant.
