Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin

As it turns out, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a lot more popular than anyone expected it to be. It’s getting really close to having sold a million copies — like, really close.

The latest figure I’ve seen is 950,000 units. And I have to say, that’s pretty impressive.

I picked up Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin back when it was new, but I was quickly distracted by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and I sort of forgot all about Sakuna. What I did play of the game, though, was a relaxing, slow-paced game about growing rice. That’s not a bad thing at all — sometimes a slow-paced game is exactly what you need if you’re looking to de-stress.

And the gaming community at large seems to have slowly fallen in love with Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. People absolutely adore this charming little rice-farming sim.

If you haven’t picked it up yet, the game is available on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Let’s see if we can get this thing to hit a million!
