Disgaea 6 - Grand Theft

Like previous Disgaea games, Disgaea 6 has an ambitious DLC schedule, allowing you to add some of your favorite characters from previous games to your D6 party. So what’s available? Here’s a complete breakdown of all of the DLC for Disgaea 6, including the Season Pass, free content, and repeatable purchases.

Note that this is the Western version of the game. The Japanese version might differ a bit — at least the dates are going to be different.

Free characters for the western launch

Disgaea 6 - Free DLC Characters

At launch, the Western version of the game comes with a few free characters, three of which are from past Disgaea games (with the fourth being Asagi from the never-actually-released Makai Wars). I received a review code for Disgaea 6 about three weeks ahead of launch, and all four characters were available to download as soon as my game was installed.

Installing the DLC (which you’ll have to do for each character individually) unlocks a new dimension called Dimensional Signpost. It includes a special stage for each character, and all four contain story content. Here’s a list of maps and which character each one unlocks:

  • Final Battlefield – Complete this stage to unlock Adell from Disgaea 2
  • Zenon’s Dead Dreams – Complete this stage to unlock Rozalin from Disgaea 2
  • Overlord’s Recital – Complete this stage to unlock Girl Laharl from Disgaea D2
  • Root of Reincarnation – Complete this stage to unlock Asagi

Disgaea 6 Hololive Collaboration Set

Disgaea 6 - Hololive Collaboration Set

The Disgaea 6 Hololive Collaboration Set is a free DLC pack that brings popular Hololive Vtubers into the game as party members (voiced by the Vtubers they’re based off). This pack was made available on launch day. Unlike the other downloadable characters, you don’t need to complete any maps to have access to these characters — they should be automatically added to your party once you apply the DLC.

Here are the five included characters:

  • Watame Tsunomaki (as an Evil Eye named Watamee)
  • Rushia Uruha (as a Succubus named Ruusha)
  • Fubuki Shirakami (as a Prinny named Fubuking)
  • Flare Shiranui (as a Psychic named Torte)
  • Polka Omaru (as a Witch named Pol-Pol)

Starter Support Set

Disgaea 6 - Starter Support Set

This set of goods is supposedly available for free at launch. When I installed the game, this pack wasn’t available to download yet, but I assume it should arrive with the full release of the game. It includes:

  • 10,000 HL
  • 500 Mana
  • Mint Gum x5
  • Unopened Soda x5
  • Slippers x3
  • 2x Boost Ticket x1

Boosters

Disgaea 6 - Boost Tickets

There are some boosters that you can purchase multiple times. If you’re going to go with boosters, you might as well go for the 10x Boost Ticket, which costs twice as much as the 2X ticket, but offers 5x the earnings.

  • HL Bag – Includes 1,000,000 HL – $0.99
  • Mana Bag – Includes 50,000 Mana – $0.99
  • 2x Boost Ticket – Doubles HL, Mana, and EXP earned for 100 battles – $0.99
  • 5x Boost Ticket – Quintuples HL, Mana, and EXP earned for 100 battles – $1.49
  • 10x Boost Ticket – Dectuples HL, Mana, and EXP earned for 100 battles – $1.99
  • Innocent Equipment Set – Contains Innocents that increase the amount of HL, Mana, and EXP you gain from battle, and ones that increase the amount of critical hit damage – $1.49

Color & Equipment Sets

Disgaea 6 - Color & Equipment Set

There will be a whole slew of additional color sets for various characters. The real prize here, though is that each one includes a piece of equipment for that character to use. These are due out when the game launches. Here’s a list:

  • Zed and Bieko Color & Equipment Set
  • Melodia Color & Equipment Set
  • Majolene Color & Equipment Set
  • Misedor Color & Equipment Set
  • Piyori Color & Equipment Set
  • Ivar Color & Equipment Set
  • Laharl, Etna, and Flonne Color & Equipment Set

These are priced at $1.49 per piece, though the Zed and Bieko set is priced at $1.99. These are also included in the Season Pass.

Disgaea 3 content

Disgaea 6 - Disgaea 3

The first batch of paid characters is due out when the game releases on June 29, 2021. There are two characters from Disgaea 3, each with their own stage. Here’s a list:

  • Pursuit of Truth – Complete this stage to unlock Mao from Disgaea 3
  • Backache Relief Room – Complete this stage to unlock Raspberyl from Disgaea 3

Each character will cost $3.99, but they’re also available at part of the Season Pass.

Disgaea 4 content

Disgaea 6 - Disgaea 4

The next batch of characters comes from Disgaea 4, and it’s due out July 13, 2021. Again, each character comes with their own stage. Here’s the list:

  • Re-Education Camp – Complete this stage to unlock Valvatorez from Disgaea 4
  • Prinny World Frontier – Complete this stage to unlock Pleinair from Disgaea 4
Disgaea 6 - Disgaea 4

A second batch of Disgaea 4 content is due out July 27, featuring two more characters and stages.

  • World Domination – Complete this stage to unlock Fuka from Disgaea 4
  • Final Boss-to-Be – Complete this stage to unlock Desco from Disgaea 4

Each character will cost $3.99, but they’re also available at part of the Season Pass.

Disgaea 5 content

Disgaea 6 - Disgaea 5

A set of characters from Disgaea 5 is due out August 10, 2021. Again, each character comes with their own stage.

  • Culinary Overlord – Complete this stage to unlock Killia from Disgaea 5
  • Sweet Curry Supreme – Complete this stage to unlock Usalia from Disgaea 5

Each character will cost $3.99, but they’re also available at part of the Season Pass.

Completion bonuses

Disgaea 6 - Lucky Board

There are a couple bonuses for collecting all of the DLC. First off, if you buy the Season Pass, you’ll be rewarded with:

  • 1,000,000 HL

  • 100 of each Boost Ticket

If you obtain all of the add-on content, you’ll also receieve:

  • Extra Asagi Color
  • Extra Pleinair Color
  • Extra Usalia Color

It’s not clear if this only requires the Season Pass, or if you’ll also need to buy all the boosters.

Season Pass content

Disgaea 6 - Zed

Now, just for the sake of having this all in one place, here’s the complete list of DLC included in the Season Pass (which costs $34.99):

  • Majolene Color & Equipment Set
  • Misedor Color & Equipment Set

This has helped me a lot. I’ve spent most of the time subduing innocents, but just finished the game and don’t know where to go from here. I’ve been working on leveling Rosalind a bit, but I’m lost on how to get to the post game.
