Trek to Yomi

As a huge fan of samurai in general, and samurai games more specifically, Trek to Yomi is right up my alley in a big friggin’ way.

From Leonard Menchiari and developer Flying Wild Hog (and published by Devolver Digital, of course), Trek to Yomi is nothing short of breathtaking to look at, with its crisp monochrome visuals and amazingly realistic character animations. It looks akin to actually playing a movie like 13 Assassins or Yojimbo.

Hot off the heels of 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima, Trek to Yomi looks to follow in a similar vein, featuring a warrior with a code and enough sword-slashing violence to sate my ever-ravenous hunger for, well, sword-slashing violence.

The only unfortunate downside is having to wait for its release, as we currently only have a vague 2022 launch window.

You can gawk at the Trek to Yomi trailer below, and let me tell you, it is just too gorgeous for words.
