Internet Cafe Simulator 2

In Internet Cafe Simulator 2, you can buy and sell Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies). This has you making your way through a game of highs and low: selling high and buying low. However, instead of buying that crypto, how about mining your own? Thankfully, Internet Cafe Simulator 2 allows you to do this.

First up, you need to pay your dues to the Beggar. He’s the guy who’s staggering around town like a drunken fool — he’s a hard guy to miss. He’ll also have a yellow icon above his head, letting you know he’s got a quest for you. The first time he talks to you, he asks for $100. Give him the money, and you should now have access to the BTC mining app.

Additionally, the next day, the Beggar will ask you to beat up a guy in a shirt that says “Family.” If you do that for him, he’ll give you $200. Don’t spend that money, though, because the following day, he’s going to ask for it back. If you give him that $200, you won’t have to deal with people shutting off your power anymore, which will make the rest of this process smoother.

Now, to download the mining app, you’ll need to go to the computer in your café, then go to the WWW section. Here, there’s an app called Apps.

When you click that, you’ll be able to download more apps. The one you want is called Miner. Click on that to install it. Once installed, the Miner app should appear on your in-game computer desktop (it should be in the bottom left-hand corner of your screen).

Open that up and you’ll see a string of code that just kind of scrolls and repeats. There’s one important line here, which reads “The code that can be used for mining: _____” My code in the example below was OY5DY1. The actual code is randomized, so it’s important that you write it down. You’ll need it later on.

Now you need your gear. You’ll need to locate the shady back-alley BTC Miner, who will sell you everything you need. Here’s where she is on the map:

The first thing you’ll need is a mining rig. That’s the big honking thing that costs $675. On top of that, you’ll need at least one graphics card to get your mining operation started. Each graphics card will cost you $500, and you can install several into a single mining rig. The more graphics cards you have in a rig, the faster it will mine.

If you want to save yourself multiple trips, you can buy a backpack at the Second Hand Store, then press I to open your inventory and equip it. This will allow you to store multiple items on your person — otherwise, you have to buy one at a time, then walk them to your café, then walk back to the BTC Miner to buy the next one.

There’s also a Bitcoin mining device that you can buy for $999, but I actually got my rig to work without one. I believe the independent Bitcoin miner is a one-size-fits-all deal that does the work without taking up a lot of space, but it’s nowhere near as powerful as a fully upgraded rig. As for the bigger rig, you’re able to fit six graphic cards in a single rig, and you are able to own multiple rigs.

Okay, once you have your rig, place it on the floor by left-clicking when it’s in your hand. Now, you’ll want to put a graphics card in your hand, then select the rig and press F to install the card. Once that’s done, you’re ready to mine! Press F on the rig again to open up the interface.

Now, remember that code I told you to write down? You’ll need to enter it here in the Miner Code window. Once you do that, fire up the mining app on your computer, and everything should be gravy.

When you want to sell your Bitcoin, you’ll just need to go to the WWW app on your computer, then go to the CRYPTO app. Here, click on the tab that says “Portfolio.” You’ll note that you have some Bitcoin in your account. The easiest thing to do now is just hit the Sell All button, but you can also type in a specific amount that you want to sell if you don’t want to offload the entire batch. Of course, the Enter Amount box struggles with manually typed decimal points, so this might end up being an exercise in futility.

Honestly, I found mining Bitcoin to be a better way to make money in the early stages of the game than actually running the shop. The benefits are that you can keep your shop closed, so you won’t have people coming in and stealing your stuff or using the service without paying for it. And if you keep your door shut, you should be safe from suicide bombers. I also found my mining rig to be less likely to burst into flames than a low-end PC.

On the flipside, mining Bitcoin will cost you money in electricity, and the basic setup can be a bit pricey. The biggest downside, though, is that you’re not racking up Entrepreneurial Soul, which you only earn by having actual customers come into your shop. Entrepreneurial Soul is what you’ll use to buy skills in your skill tree, so you’ll definitely want to open up that shop eventually.

Actually, one thing I should point out is that you are limited in the amount of mining equipment you can purchase, and you’ll have to unlock perks via Entrepreneurial Soul to increase that limit. Without any perks, I was able to buy two rigs, nine graphics cards, and a miner.

Internet Cafe Simulator 2

You can open up your Entrepreneurial Soul menu by pressing X on the keyboard. You mostly unlock perks in a prescribed order, though, and the mining perks are pretty deep in that menu. So yeah, you’ll eventually need to open your shop if you want to really make this Bitcoin mining operation lucrative.

And there you go. That’s pretty much everything you need to know about mining Bitcoin in Internet Cafe Simulator 2. I hope it allows you to run your own operation as smoothly as possible!

Open up the warcry coin app and hit sell gold for cash. It turns your coins in that game to usable currency. There really isn’t any point early on to warcry though.
