If you’re looking to collect every armor set in Elden Ring (like I am), you’re going to have to do a lot of farming. There are tons of different sets to collect here, and some of them can take a hefty amount of grinding. One such set is the Mausoleum set.
Note that this is different from the Mausoleum Knight set (which I also have a guide for).
Here are all the pieces in the set:
- Mausoleum Surcoat
- Mausoleum Gauntlets
- Mausoleum Greaves
- Lordsworn’s Straight Sword
- Brass Shield
There is no helm for this set, as every single one of these warriors is headless.
Even though these pieces have a pretty low drop rate, the good news is that it’s a really fast farm. And, as a little bonus, these guys will occasionally drop Smithing Stone [1].
I found a spot where you can farm five soldiers in about 45 seconds, meaning you can kill 100 of these guys in about 15 minutes. I farmed 200 of these guys in about a quarter of the time it took me to farm 100 Fire Monks. The bad news, of course, is that you might have to kill more than 100 of them to get the full set to drop.
To get to this location, you’ll want to visit the Fourth Church of Marika on the Weeping Peninsula. From here, just exit the church and kill the two soldiers guarding the door. Just beyond them should be three more soldiers walking away from you. Mow them down as well, for a total of five kills per run.

There are a few things to know about this. First off, you want to make sure you’re doing this during the day. At night, bats show up in the same area as the three soldiers who are walking away from you. They’re not super difficult, but they will slow down your run.
Also, after killing these five, you could hop on your horse and find several more of these guys roaming the field to the east. I found it faster to just kill the five shown in the video, then fast travel back to the church and do it over again, but if you want to roam around killing fools while on horseback, knock yourself out.
I ran this little gauntlet 40 times, for a total of 200 kills, and my Discovery stat is at 109.0. Here’s what I earned:

As you can see, the surcoat is especially rare. It didn’t drop for me until I was getting pretty close to the end of my 200 kills. I was starting to suspect these guys actually wouldn’t drop it, and then it finally showed up, fashionably late. That’s the piece that will probably be the toughest to get, I think.
