If you’re a big fan of physical releases (you know I am), then you’re probably already familiar with Special Reserve Games. This is a company that does extremely limited runs of physical games that would otherwise be exclusively digital. It’s important work that they’re doing.
In partnership with the lovable weirdos at Devolver Digital, Special Reserve is creating a physical edition of Weird West. Can I just say that I’m really excited about this? 700+ hours of Red Dead Redemption 2 have really given me a hunger for video-game Westerns, and Weird West looks like it has the chops to satisfy that craving.
The interesting thing about this physical edition in particular is that SRG is also making a variety exclusive collector’s boxes — five of them, to be precise.
You don’t have to buy five copies of the game to get all five either. If you want to, you can buy the game with a bundle that includes all five boxes.
The single-box version of the game will run you $49.99, and I’m not sure what the five-box pack will cost yet. Pre-orders will open at high noon (Central Time) on March 31, so mark your calendars and get ready to build your bundle.
In the meantime, keep your eyes on the Special Reserve website to see what else they cook up this month.
I’ll leave you with a trailer for Weird West.
See you out on the dusty trail, pardner.
