Bit Orchard: Animal Valley

In the monochrome farming game Bit Orchard: Animal Valley, there’s a rabbit that hops around your field. You can befriend the little critter if you’d like, and there’s actually a task for you to do just that. But when you try to get close to the rabbit it runs away. So what do you do?

Well, here’s a complete guide to befriending the rabbit in Bit Orchard: Animal Valley.

What you need to do is approach the rabbit and get close enough to pet it. You’ll need to have the hand icon selected in your menu to do this.

The rabbit will run away from you, and it’s quite fast, but there is a trick to catching it: You’ll want to try to get it stuck on a tree. If you can force the rabbit to run smack into a tree, it won’t be able to escape from you and you’ll be able to pet it. If you’re successful, a heart will appear over its head and it will stop running from you.

In order to befriend it, you’re going to have to do this 15 times (if my count is correct). Once you’ve pet the rabbit once, you’ll have to wait until the next day to do it again. However, there is one way to cheese this: You can actually go inside your house, then come back out and the rabbit will have reset.

I do have one more trick to share with you. If you want to see how close you are to befriending the rabbit, there’s actually a friendship gauge in the pause menu. Just pause the game and check out the lower right side of the menu.

Once you’ve befriended the rabbit, not only will your task be complete, but the little guy will follow you around. It will even sleep at the foot of your bed. How cute.

And that’s pretty much everything you need to know about befriending the rabbit in Bit Orchard: Animal Valley.
