PuffPals: Island Skies

If you watch the trailer for PuffPals: Island Skies, you’ll probably find yourself immediately hypnotized by the chill music and cotton-candy color palette. The game’s concept seems to be a mix between Story of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It allows you to grow crops and mingle with locals, all while living atop a flying island in the sky.

Doesn’t this sound like catnip for farming sim enthusiasts? Well, it turns out this sentiment is true in practice as much as on paper. Developer Fluffnest set a meager goal of $75,000 for its Kickstarter campaign, yet here we are on Day 2, and the game’s already reeled in more than $225,000.

And speaking of reeling things in, the first stretch goal would add fishing to the game, at $100,000. Obviously, we’ve blazed past that at this point.

More stretch goals will be announced in time, as it looks like the team didn’t expect this to do quite this well so quickly. It will be fun to see what they end up revealing over the coming days and weeks.

If you want to get in on the action, head over to the Kickstarter page and drop a couple bucks (well, $20 is the lowest tier that gets you into the game). And if you just want to know more (or relax to the chill soundtrack), you can watch the trailer below.
