Disney Plus

I recently re-activated my Disney Plus subscription because I was interested in checking out the new Obi-Wan TV series. And while I kind of forgot about that series about halfway through, I didn’t forget about one amazing feature of the PS5’s Disney Plus app: You can take screenshots with it.

This doesn’t sound like a big deal to most people. For me, though, I write a lot of articles about video games, and occasionally about TV and movies as well. Having the option to screenshot whatever I want means I can actually choose images for those articles that illustrate the points I am making in said articles.

And if you’ve tried to take screenshots using Disney Plus in a browser (with the PrtSc button), you’ll notice that Disney has blocked this feature. So I had assumed that they would have carried this restriction over to the PS5.

But then I started screencapping Clone Wars episodes.

I didn’t even need these screenshots for anything. I just took them because I could. And now that I’m writing an article about this very thing, it was super handy to already have some screenshots on hand.

All you have to do is press the Share button, just like taking a screenshot in a video game. It’s super easy.

So if you’re looking for a good screenshot solution for Disney Plus, know that the PS5 has you covered — until some Disney executive finds this article and makes a policy change, I suppose…
