Hitman 3- Ambrose Island

Hitman 3 is halfway through its Year 2 of content updates, and I have to say, Year 2 has been pretty scant. Remember how in the cartoon Mickey and the Beanstalk, Mickey and friends are so poor that they have to take a single bean and slice it into portions so everybody can get one? No? Well, that’s a pretty good metaphor for what Hitman 3’s content drops have looked like this year.

But that changes in July of 2022. In July, we finally get the game’s first DLC map, Ambrose Island. Based on what we’ve seen so far, Ambrose Island looks like it takes pieces of a lot of fan-favorite maps, like Haven Island and Santa Fortuna, and mashes them up into what’s hopefully a super-huge and super-replayable map.

You can check out a trailer for the new map below:

I assume that, like most other Hitman maps, this one will feature 20 levels of unlocks. And if you remember Hitman 2‘s DLC maps, you’ll know that some of the best items in the game come from those maps — hopefully that’s true of Ambrose Island as well.

Aside from that, we’re getting some other new things this month as well, including some pirate-themed contracts and the new Iridescent Katana weapon (unlocked by completing a new batch of contracts in Elusive Target Arcade).

Plus, we’re finally getting the Revolutionary as a proper Elusive Target, meaning we finally have a shot at unlocking the Casual Tourist with Gloves suit.
