Asterigos - Breathless

In Asterigos: Curse of the Stars, there is a secret boss called Breathless. If you defeat it, you’ll earn the Can Rocks Breathe? Trophy/Achievement. So where do you find this rocky little fellow? Well, let me walk you through the process!

First up, you must complete the Event of Trinity, which is a major story event that happens toward the end of the game. When you complete this event, the sky will turn dark and it will be nighttime for the rest of the game.

Next up, you must find the Astral Depths Conduit in the Glittering Deeps. A lot of people are struggling with this, so I decided to put up a quick video about how to find this secret Conduit. This video starts at the Rift Observation Deck Conduit.

Okay, so the route to Breathless from the Astral Depths Conduit is actually super short. Simply follow the route shown in the video below:

There are three crystal golem things between the Conduit and the portal to the boss. I highly recommend that you take them out, because if you aggro them before entering the portal, they can sometimes follow you through. And in some instances, they can block you in the entrance and force Hilda to glitch into the wall and get stuck. So it’s way easier to just deal with them before you hit the portal.

As for the boss fight, I found this to be the most difficult of the Trinity fights. Breathless has a lot of different attacks, but three of them are particularly devastating. The first one — and usually the first attack the Breathless does in a fight, but not always — happens when the Breathless fires the crystals on its back up into the air so they’ll land on the ground in a circle around the boss.

There are actually two different versions of this attack. In one, some of those crystals will turn into floating crystals that can attack you. I try to line them up with Breathless if possible so I can attack at least one of them while also hitting Breathless. I notice that whenever I take my attention off Breathless, I end up getting hit with a massive attack.

In the second version of this attack, those crystals explode, and they do a ton of damage, so be careful.

Secondly, there’s an attack where blue orbs rise off of Breathless’ back, then fire at you. These aren’t difficult to dodge if you dash/run to the left or the right, but if the full batch hits you, it can take you from full health to zero. So you definitely want to watch out for it.

The other attack you should watch out for is one where Breathless slams its fists onto the ground, which causes massive beams to fire in a cross pattern. This isn’t super hard to dodge; you just need to make sure you’re not in the path of these beams, because they can also destroy you really quickly.

Personally, these are the three attacks that I had to actively watch out for. There are other attacks, but those are pretty easy to dodge. Just give Breathless a little distance to avoid its weaker attacks, then jump in and attack right after one of the more powerful attacks when Breathless is recovering.

And bring some healing salves. You’ll definitely need them.

And that’s how you defeat Breathless to earn the Can Rocks Breathe Trophy/Achievement in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars.
