Elements - Open-World RPG

Upcoming RPG Elements from developer Wreckit Games and publisher Apogee Entertainment wears a few influences on its sleeve, but it’s looking like an inspired game and it’s definitely one to watch. The studio has taken its love of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokémon, The Witcher 3, and even Minecraft to create something that looks absolutely loaded with heart and soul.

In Elements, you play as Nyah and Beckett, who are out to save the world from a force known as the Elemental Chaos. By seeking out the Eight Legendary Stones, these two siblings can restore order to the land and keep the Elemental Chaos at bay.

Visually, Elements is reminiscent of the aforementioned Breath of the Wild, as well as other action-adventure and platforming titles like Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Ary and the Secret of Seasons, and Windbound. Its world looks expansive, with lots to see, do, and discover. It’s a land full of monsters and secrets, and it looks like you’ll be able to explore a massive, rich fantasy world.

Combat in Elements looks to be a mix of blade-based action and long-range offense. You’ll also be able to craft new weapons and items. And you’ll even be able to build your base, adding a slight Minecraft and Fortnite vibe to the experience.

Elements is certainly ambitious, but it looks very promising, too. Wreckit Games launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the project, and it’s already exceeded its goal by a large margin. Currently, there’s no specific release date announced for Elements, but the full version is planned for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2025.
