If you were hoping to get that really grotesque Sonic the Hedgehog collectible figure from Poptaters, you’re out of luck. It turns out Entertainment Earth, an online retailer for toys, figures, and other hobby items, has sold out of its stock.
The figure’s listing now reads: “SOLD OUT — FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.” It was never even updated with a current product image on the Entertainment Earth website.
That Poptaters Sonic the Hedgehog figure went as it came: with a mild fizzle. For real, though, it’s interesting that the thing sold out. It was available for preorder in the weeks leading up to its release, and it would seem that everyone who wanted it seemingly snagged it. Good for you… whoever you are.
Here’s hoping this isn’t the last we see of this specific Poptaters Sonic the Hedgehog figure. It had an oddly alluring charm to it. Oh, it was damn near obscene, for sure, but it’s one of those things that you can’t help but love just because it exists.
