Mass Effect is a beautiful game that shines despite its imperfections. The Legendary Edition is a great way to introduce people to the franchise. It’s shorter than I remember, and there’s plenty of bugs and hiccups, but damn this is still a fantastic work of art. The wonderful dialogue and cast of characters make it easy to ignore the fact that the original Mass Effect hasn’t always aged well. This is a game that is absolutely still worth your time. Before diving into the superior sequels, you owe yourself to play the original.
