Biomutant

Biomutant was an adorable post-apocalyptic open-world RPG that feels a little bit like Fallout, but with anthropomorphic raccoon-cat critters instead of people. Admittedly, it wasn’t for everyone, but we found a lot of things to love about it. In fact, our own Julian Watkins nominated it for our 2021 Game of the Year roundup.

Because of its deceptively cute aesthetic, it was just a matter of time before the game made its way to Nintendo Switch. And it’s now official; THQ Nordic has announced that Biomutant will land on Switch on November 30, 2023.

Currently, Biomutant is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with a next-gen upgrade for Series S|X and PS5 owners. It’ll be lovely for Switch owners to finally get a taste of this fluffy pie (okay, so that wasn’t a great metaphor…)

Anyway, November 30, 2023, is the date to mark on your calendars, because that’s when this magic happens. Hope this re-ignites the popularity of the franchise enough that we could see a sequel at some point. I would absolutely love to return to this adorable world.

And if you have absolutely no idea what I’ve been talking about for the past several paragraphs, this trailer is a pretty good introduction to Biomutant:
