Cyberpunk 2077

While Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long, long way since the disastrous launch, there’s still plenty of jank to be found in the game. I would argue that, at this point, Cyberpunk 2077 is less janky than something like, say, Fallout 4, but that doesn’t mean you won’t encounter weird physics glitches in Night City.

For instance, I encountered this goofy situation:

I was fighting off some baddies beneath a concrete bridge, when some random woman just strolled through like it was no big deal. But she didn’t walk like a normal person — she would walk a few steps, then lie down on the ground while still moving forward, then pop back up from time to time. It was super weird.

And then there was this:

I was fighting a group of enemies outside a diner when a car just started floating into the sky, along with one of the enemies.

And speaking of nonsensical vehicle physics, check out this one:

This van starts flipping around like a drop of water on an oiled-up pan on the stove.

None of this makes any sense, but all of it is undeniably funny.

I do hope CD Projekt Red continues to clean up Cyberpunk 2077, especially with the game’s first major expansion on the way. But in the meantime, I’ll keep laughing about the anti-gravity cars and goofy walk animations. Because what’s an open-world game without a little bit of jank?
