I’ve made no secret of my love for plastic things, or that it’s a love that extends to physical copies of Nintendo Switch games. In fact, I usually hold off on buying any game on the Switch until I can get a lovely plastic cartridge.
Because of that, I have thus far been missing out on the glorious absurdity of Untitled Goose Game.
However, if you’re like me, and you’ve been holding off on the hilarious stealth-based game about a mischievous goose, the time of reckoning is upon us. Untitled Goose Game is getting physical copies on Nintendo Switch and PS4, thanks to the wonderful folks at iam8bit.com.
They’re calling this the “Lovely Edition,” and it is lovely indeed. It comes with a hard copy of the game, a case made using eco-friendly materials (the PS4 version looks like a cardboard sleeve), a sticker, a foldout town map (drawn by the amazing Marigold Bartlett), and a 36-page catalog. You can also purchase the soundtrack on vinyl.
All of this stuff (including the vinyl record) is scheduled to be out September 29, 2020. Here’s the preorder link.
