If you’re like me, you probably feel like the upcoming indie title Olija came out of nowhere. This game, developed by Thomas Olsson with Skeleton Crew Studio, just got a tiny little 42-second launch trailer that is gritty, fast-paced, and incredibly light on actual details. It’s hard to know what to expect from Olija once it launches later this week.
That said, this is an incredible trailer, epic in scope though miniscule in scale. You can watch it below.
Once I did a little digging, I became even more intrigued. Although I am not familiar with Skeleton Crew Studio, I am familiar with the game’s publisher, Devolver Digital, which carries a ton of weight.
I always love when I stumble upon a new game that catches me off guard, and it’s even better when I find out that the release date is only days away.
Olija is due out on January 28, 2021, for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. You can check out the story trailer below to see if this might be in your wheelhouse.
