A while back, I wrote about how absolutely stunned I was by the trailer for Deer Journey. Within the trailer’s single minute of footage, I had somehow formed an emotional attachment to the game’s deer protagonist. A huge part of this, I think, is the soundtrack, which evokes a deep sadness with its simple piano notes.

I’m looking forward to playing Deer Journey when it launches on July 21, and getting to hear the soundtrack early is a nice little taste of what the game offers. This seems like it’s going to be a deeply emotional journey, albeit a short one, as the game is estimated to be about 45 minutes long.
According to a recent press release:
Deer Journey is a third-person walking simulator game, where you will be joining a fawn that has been outcasted by the rest of the deer, after discovering the young fawn was born partially albino.
The game comes highly recommended for folks who enjoyed Might & Delight’s Shelter and David Wehle’s The First Tree.
You can wishlist Deer Journey on Steam, and the OST will also be available for purchase on Steam when the game launches, on July 21, 2022.
