Cult of the Lamb is one of the best games of this year for sure. If you’ve not yet played this wicked little title, it’s basically a super-evil blend between Animal Crossing and The Binding of Isaac. The art direction is phenomenal, and the gameplay is hyper-addictive. You definitely need to check this one out if you still have yet to do so.
And now, with the spookiest of all seasons upon us, Cult of the Lamb is getting a decent-sized update. The Blood Moon Festival update adds a few things; here’s a list:
- New Blood Moon Ritual
- You can catch ghosts of dead Followers
- Three new Follower forms to unlock
- Four base decorations to unlock
- New music track
How does all this work? Well, according to today’s press release:
Under the light of the Blood Moon devotees can harvest pumpkins to unlock a brand new ritual that will raise former members of their cult, casting them back to the land of the living as wandering spirits. New follower forms and dreadful decorations will be granted upon their capture.
The festival starts today, October 24, and it runs through November 10. So if you want to take part in the festivities, you’ve got about two and a half weeks to do so before it’s over.
