If you’re a fan of both the Yakuza series and the DuckTales cartoon (I am very much a fan of both), then you might have noticed that Yakuza: Like a Dragon has set up a DuckTales reference on its page in the PlayStation menu.
If you have the game installed, you can go to the icon in the PlayStation menu and then press down. That will open up a sub-menu with various options for the game, such as the Trophy list and trending videos. Toward the bottom of the game’s Overview, you’ll see the More from Yakuza: Like a Dragon section, which includes this lovely set of options:
As you can see from the image above (which comes courtesy this Tweet), the middle two options are titled “Solve a Mystery” (for the Yakuza spinoff Judgment) and “Rewrite History” (for Yakuza 0). Combined, this is a reference to the DuckTales theme song, which states:
Might solve a mystery,
Or rewrite history.
DuckTales! Woo hoo!
It’s a reference that I didn’t expect to see for a Yakuza game, but I love it all the same. The childhood version of me would be giggling with delight over this.
