Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Brewery

If you’ve been enjoying the Yuletide festivities in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, then you might have stumbled upon the quest The Case of the Missing Ale. This quest asks you to recover some ale that was apparently stolen by some alcoholic bandits.

To start the quest, you’ll need to Alwin in the brewery in Ravensthorpe. He’s drunk and distraught, and he tells you that Tekla’s assistant Ake has run off with a barrel of ale. Now, you must find Ake and recover the ale.

Ake can be found on a cliff overlooking the Utbech bandit camp in Grantebridgescire.

When you confront him, he tells you that a group of bandits made off with the ale, and he’s been drunkenly trying to follow them and recover it. He also wants to fight you.

Once you fistfight Ake, you’ll calm him down by offering to recover the ale from the Utbech camp. The ale is in a hut near the center of camp. If you use Odin’s Sigh, the barrel should emit a teal glow, so it shouldn’t be too hard to spot.

Once you grab the ale, things get a little tricky because this part of the quest seems to be pretty buggy. People in online forums are complaining about all sorts of weird behavior, and I experienced some weirdness myself. The quest marker seems to end up in a random location, so it might send you running your barrel halfway across England before you realize you’re in the wrong location.

Here’s the actual location where you need to bring the ale:

Once you bring the ale to Ake’s boat, you’ll complete the quest, and Ake will be available as an opponent in the brawling event back at Ravensthorpe.

And that’s how you complete the Case of the Missing Ale in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s Yuletide event.
