The Ostara festival is in full bloom in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the main event is the egg hunt. In order to complete the egg hunt, you must find 15 baskets of eggs that are hidden all over Ravensthorpe. You’re given six clues to get started, but many of these eggs must be located using your wit (and Odin’s Sight).
To kick off the Egg Hunt quest, you must first visit Ravensthorpe. A cutscene will trigger, which will add the festival events as quests in your log. Once you’ve done that, walk over to Alwin (the good-natured portly fellow) near his hut by the southeast edge of the festival grounds.
Alwin will give you your clues and send you on your way.
If you’re struggling to find any of the eggs, here are the locations for all 15 egg baskets.
First, let’s start with the riddles.
I. A symbol of conquerors, to greatness they aspired. It stands now in ruin, their rule long expired.
This is near Octavian’s hut, on top of one of the stone pillars.
II. Old, new, and some long since rotten. Here they lie gone, not forgotten.
This one is near the big tree in the cemetery.
III. Music, merriment and mead abound. But keep your wits, there are eggs to be found.
There are five egg baskets on the festival grounds. The first is on the roof right behind Alwin.
Then there’s one right around the corner from Norvid (the Ostara merchant).
The next one is on a roof overlooking the brawling pit.
There’s also one behind the May Day Queen’s throne.
And there’s one near the bridge where you participate in the Twirling Targets minigame.
IV. With a thunderous roar I carve the land. Go over me and you’ll find yourself with a fall unplanned…
This basket is at the bottom of the Ravensthorpe waterfall (just behind the seer’s hut).
V. Lay down your arms, your battles done. Drink and feast t’ill up comes the sun. A word to the wise, there is more than one.
This clue is referring to the longhouse. There are three egg baskets here. One is near the entrance on the western end of the longhouse.
One is up in the rafters of the longhouse.
And the other is on a beam sticking out of the east side of the longhouse.
VI. Our door to travel and trade, it is vital to launch any raid.
This one is on the dock near your longship (your default longship, not the one you use for river raids).
At this point, you should have 12 eggs. Now let’s clean up the three egg baskets that don’t have riddles attached.
There’s one in plain sight, right next to where Reda hangs out.
There is one beneath a tree just east of the longhouse.
There’s one behind Gunnar’s workshop.
Once you’ve found all 15 egg baskets, return them to Alwin to complete the quest. You’ll be rewarded with 140 festival tokens, and Alwin will become available to fight in the Ostara Brawl.
