Death Stranding - Dancing

Death Stranding gives players a private space to hang out in, where you can catch some Z’s, customize your gear, read emails, and listen to some tunes. Throughout the game, you’ll unlock songs for your music player, and the Director’s Cut adds a few extra tracks that weren’t in the original version of the game.

If you’re a completionist, you’re going to want to unlock every single song.

All of your music unlocks will happen when you complete specific orders. During the course of the game, songs are often triggered in key locations. Note that songs won’t always be unlocked the first time you trigger them, and also that you can unlock songs even if you manage to avoid triggering that song during the appropriate mission.

Most of the music will be unlocked during story missions, but there are a few optional missions that also unlock music.

If you want to unlock absolutely everything in the game, check out my full unlockables guide. But if you’re looking specifically for the songs, here’s a complete guide for unlocking every single music track in Death Stranding Director’s Cut.

Additional Music

Death Stranding - Hot Springs

There are two additional songs that are mentioned at the end of the game’s lengthy credits.

  • “Death Stranding” by CHVRCHES
  • “Nice Hot Water”

The CHVRCHES song plays during the credits, and the song “Nice Hot Water” can be activated by pressing the touchpad while Sam is bathing in the hot springs. If you have an NPC join you in the hot spring, they will even sing along. As far as I know, neither of these songs is available in the music player, but if that changes (in a patch or whatever), I will update this guide.

And there you go! There’s every single song you can unlock for the music player in Death Stranding Director’s Cut.

For order 38 – Stick Gun if you want to hear the music while on the mission you need to follow the road back to the Handyman and from the Hot Spring follow the rocky Mountain towards Lake Knot City
