Death Stranding Director’s Cut: How to Get Every Backpack Patch

Death Stranding Director’s Cut gave players a lot of new toys to monkey around with, as well as new customization options. One new feature that people don’t seem to be talking about much is the addition of backpack patches. These are neat little badges that you can attach to your backpack, and you earn them for doing all sorts of things in the game.

Note that you’ll unlock the option to customize your backpack once you complete [Order No. 35] during Episode 3. Unlocking patches before you reach this point has a small chance to prevent you from earning them, so you’ll want to hold off on patch earning until you reach the end of Episode 3.

Now, you can get some extra patches by upgrading to the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game.

The rest of the patches can be earned in the game, regardless of whether you have the Digital Deluxe Edition or not. You do, however, need to have the Director’s Cut, as the patches weren’t a part of the original game.
